Stippled Beef Skewers

Here is the stippling project for Illustration. The assignment was to use a color photo as reference and stipple it with a .00 technical pen on 9x11 Bristol board.

At the beginning, I was having trouble and thought I might go crazy. I wrote a journal about it. So, how was I able to finish the piece? I discovered jazz. For some odd reason this genre of music calmed me down and allowed me to focus on my work. I have a great appreciation for jazz now.

Not sure how many hours I put into this picture. It was too big to scan, and I took a photo which is not very clear. Perhaps you can get the idea...
