I'm wondering if any of you have seen the news story about the elk surplus killing in Wyoming. I hate how sensationalized the headlines are, and how dramatically this is being reported. The words "Slaughter" and "Sport Killing" are being used. Makes my blood boil. I created a response video to this story. You can view it here: ( youtu.be/zGrGpomfsBY ).
There are also a couple other new videos on my Youtube Channel, "Wolf Lake Part One" and "Wolf Lake Part Two." They feature some canoeing, fishing, hiking, and geocaching.
I also went for an awesome hike with my mate and his sis yesterday. We went into the Norwester Mountains between Mt. McKay and Mt. Rose to Crescent Lake. I have some video from that hike that I'm working on editing.

Spring has Arrived to Northern Ontario!
The goal was to hike along the Current River, view the spring thaw, and reach the remains of the dam that once held Onion Lake. The recent high temperatures had caused more melting than anticipated. Silliness and nonsense happened as wet feet could not be avoided. Spirits remained high, and we had a good hike despite needing to turn back early due to water levels across the road.

I really enjoyed drawing this mushroom, and I think I will be speed painting more of them in the future.
I finally edited together videos of taking my cat, Jasper, out for a walk.
And my mate and I kind of got a little lost while hiking in the woods after 30+ cm of snow.

I totally agree with you, the wolves were just taking advantage of a large number of elk in a small area. Entirely natural behavior.
